SEUPB

Overview

SEUPB is a European organization based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It’s main role is to manage cross-border European Union Structural Funds programmes in Northern Ireland, the Border Region of Ireland and parts of Western Scotland. Their two current programmes (2007-2013) are the European Union’s Programme for Peace and Reconciliation (otherwise known as the PEACE III Programme) and the European Union’s Cross-border Programme for Territorial Co-operation, Northern Ireland, the Border Region of Ireland and Western Scotland (otherwise known as the INTERREG IVA Programme).

I jumped into this project when the first round design was already done and I started to work on the second and final one. Accessibility was a primary requirement and all the templates were created XHTML 1.0 Strict. Unobtrusive JavaScript was a must!

We decided to build the site using Sitefinity by Telerik, a highly customizable ASP CMS. I developed all the different templates and helped out the developers to make all the JavaScript accessible.

We came up with a very tidy, clean and user-friendly website. During a second phase, we also developed the extranet website using the same instance of Sitefinity. This site consists in a private area dedicated to different partners and collaborators of the SEUPB organization.
