Stock2Clear
Overview
Stock2Clear is a brand new site which aims to enable homeowners and buyers to search for the best deals on home products and furnishings. It offers a wide range of products from local suppliers at the best prices. The website is completely free to use for buyers.
This is definitely one of my favourite websites. I did this job on my own as a freelancer and, for this reason, I had the chance to follow all the different phases of the project. It’s been great working side by side with the client and thinking of the best solutions to get this site done.
As the client wanted the suppliers to be able to post their own products on the site themselves, I decided to use WordPress together with the TDO Mini Forms plugin. Each product is a post. I created a highly customizable form in the admin area to generate posts which present all the fields the supplier might need to fill in to describe the product. This turned to be very easy to use for suppliers. Who said that WordPress is just a simple blog platform? In this case it’s been used as a real CMS.
